10 years of experience with national promotions, brand

market research and, cause marketing. Linda is a self-confessed
exercise junkie—in a pinch, she even leads Boot Camp.
She was a weight trainer before becoming an age-grouper
triathlete and supplemented the training with practicing
Ashtanga Yoga for 7 years. Now she chases around her three
small boys, and tries to fit in sprint triathlons and 5-K
and 10-K road races. Elev8 Boot Camp has helped her achieve
new personal bests in the recent races she has run. “I
am easily bored with my workouts and I always need a challenge.
That is where Elev8 has been so good for me—the workouts
are never the same,” says Linda. “I also love
to see others achieve their goals, so the group classes
are really inspiring for me.
Janet Lowen—communications coordinator
janet@elev8fitness.com
Janet is a fitness partaker but not a fitness expert. She
is Elev8’s communications coordinator. Janet has
12 years of experience in the technical communications
field and does a little bit of everything—writing,
editing, and web site maintenance to name a few. Janet
got her BA in English Literature from Western Washington
University and has worked as a managing editor or senior
technical editor for Boeing, Microsoft, and currently,
Linda Werner & Associates. She loves how exercise
and staying in shape make her feel; although, she’d
be the first to admit that working out feels a bit like
eating her broccoli—she may not love it but she
knows it’s good for her. “What I have come
to understand about myself is that I need accountability
and camaraderie to motivate me to exercise,” says
Janet. “Elev8 gives me both—fun people to
work out with and someone who’s going to call me
to task if I don’t show up.”
